Daily & Seasonal Energy Storage : is there a case study for Energy Communities ? To find out, meet Patrick HENDRICK from ULB & BERA

The feasibility (from a technical and an economic point of view) of installing and using energy storage at a daily-rate level and/or a seasonal-rate level in energy communities will be briefly presented and analysed (using a common (1 unit), or a distributed storage system for this community).

Dr Patrick HENDRICK is a Professor at the Faculty of Engineering at ULB (Université Libre de Bruxelles).
He is Head of the ATM (Aero-Thermo-Mechanics) Department.
He is a specialist in energy storage, more specifically Pumped Hydro Energy Storage and Hydrogen (green and pink), as well as in Systems studies and Techno-Economic studies on Energy Storage.
He is also a member of the Belgian Energy Research Alliance – BERA.

Each Master Session will take up to 2 hours from 9.30AM till noon and will be themed according to the following specific subjects:
Session #1:  CCU – Mineralisation – Hydrogen Programme: 20 May
Session #2Energy storage and batteries recycling Programme: 27 May 2021
